To get a fastener quote quickly, your RFQ should include: 1) size and thread (e.g. M8×1.25, coarse or fine pitch); 2) material and strength class (4.8 / 8.8 / 10.9 / 12.9 carbon steel, 304 or 316 stainless); 3) surface finish (zinc-plated, yellow zinc, hot-dip galvanised, Dacromet, black oxide); 4) quantity and delivery date. Attach a drawing, sample or reference standard (GB/T, DIN, ISO, ASTM) to avoid repeated clarification and receive a quotation the first time.
How standards, certifications and quantity affect pricing
The same dimension produced to different standards can differ in price and tolerance.
